Cory Joseph Olympiacos Jersey #34
Cory Joseph will remain with Olympiacos for the 2026-27 season, still wearing No. 34. The Canadian point guard joined the Piraeus-based team midway through the 2025-26 season after a long NBA career and quickly fit in with the Greek squad. At 35, he brings a wealth of experience at the highest level and, above all, the ability to control the tempo without needing to go overboard.
Joseph has played 14 seasons in the NBA, won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, and played in more than 950 games across the Atlantic. He played for the Spurs, Toronto, Indiana, Sacramento, Detroit, Golden State, and Orlando before truly discovering the EuroLeague with Olympiacos. Suffice it to say that when he steps onto the court, he doesn’t need a manual to understand what a high-level game demands.
His arrival in Piraeus in January 2026 was directly linked to a specific need at Olympiacos. With several players out of the lineup, the club was looking for a second point guard capable of immediately bringing composure and experience. Joseph therefore arrived without having to go through a lengthy adjustment period and immediately slotted into the rotation.
And his first stint with the Reds went pretty well. Joseph was part of the run that led Olympiacos to the 2026 EuroLeague title, while also winning the Greek league championship. On the European stage, he averaged 5.5 points and 2.3 assists in the second half of the season. There’s no need to give him the ball on every possession—his role also involves bringing order to the team, defending, setting up his teammates, and capitalizing on opportunities when they arise.
The number 34 is now associated with this new phase of his career. Joseph kept it while at Olympiacos and will therefore wear the same number for the 2026–27 season. Red and white, with the number 34 on the back, and a player who knows exactly what it takes to compete at the very highest level: the jersey has a true identity.
What’s appealing about Joseph is the polished nature of his play. He knows when to pick up the pace, when to slow things down, and when to take his shot. With his NBA and international experience, he naturally brings a wealth of experience to a team where EuroLeague games can quickly become very tense. And when it comes to managing a few crucial possessions, having a player of this caliber in the rotation is obviously a huge asset.
The 2026-27 season marks, above all, Joseph’s first full campaign with Olympiacos. He is no longer the player who arrived as a last-minute addition in the middle of the winter to fill in at the perimeter positions—he is now an integral part of the club’s plans. Olympiacos has chosen to keep him for this new season despite interest from other EuroLeague teams.
In the first few games of the new season, the Canadian has already reclaimed his role in the rotation. Notably, he scored 10 points against Fenerbahçe in the Super Cup, before playing in the first EuroLeague games against Baskonia and then Virtus Bologna. Olympiacos knows exactly what he can bring to the table: experience, composure, and a real ability to play smart.
The Cory Joseph Olympiacos 2026-27 jersey thus represents a unique period in the Canadian’s career. After spending most of his career in the NBA, he moved to Europe and immediately experienced the best the league has to offer, winning a EuroLeague title in his first full half-season in Piraeus. This time, he’s starting the season from the very beginning with the Reds.
For Joseph’s fans, the jersey also marks this transition between two phases of his career. The No. 34 recalls his time with Olympiacos, while the red and white now cement his place in the club’s recent history. After playing for years in NBA arenas, the Canadian is now experiencing the absolutely wild atmosphere of the EuroLeague with the Piraeus crowd.
And you don’t necessarily have to wait for a flurry of points to appreciate his game. Joseph is there above all to keep the team running smoothly, apply defensive pressure, move the ball around, and provide stability. But when an opportunity arises, he also knows how to step up. His performance—13 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists—in the first playoff game against Monaco in 2026 proved that he can make an impact when it’s time to take it up a notch.
So, for the 2026–27 season, Joseph returns to Olympiacos in a different role. He knows the club, his teammates, the Greek league, and—above all—the unique intensity of the EuroLeague. No. 34 is no longer the jersey of a midseason reinforcement—it now belongs to a European champion embarking on a new campaign with the Reds.
Cory Joseph’s Olympiacos jersey ultimately belongs to a player who had already traveled extensively before settling in Piraeus. The NBA, the Canadian national team, then the EuroLeague and a European title: his career speaks for itself. For the 2026–27 season, he’ll remain in red and white, eager to continue bringing his experience to a team that already knows what it’s like to compete in major tournaments.
Cory Joseph. No. 34. Olympiacos. EuroLeague 2026–27. An NBA veteran, a European champion, and now a full-fledged member of the Reds. Number 34 is still here in Piraeus for another European season.
